Long-Term Records Management

Portsmouth University researchers in England are developing the universal emulator which, presumably, will be capable of recognizing and running files all the way back to the 70s. The research work is a part of the larger EU-financed KEEP - Keeping Emulation Environments Portable - project. The super-emulator will read and run text files, multimedia, web pages, databases and compuet games - all independently of the original platform (the article is in Norwegian).
